Grooms: Embrace Your Own Style

Most eco-friendly gals enjoy being unique, especially when it comes to their wedding. You don't hear too many girls say, "I want my wedding to look like everybody else's wedding." Figuring out your own style, being comfortable with it, and then stamping it on everything you can is an important part of life, but don't forget about the groom in your life. Some of you may have very involved fiances, while others prefer to stand on the sidelines, but whatever the case, talk to your guy and ask him what style he would like to bring the table. Remind him that "style" doesn't necessarily mean what tie he will wear - it could mean a favorite song he wants to play at the reception, a certain type of food that brings back childhood memories, or maybe it is a piece of clothing that he's always loved. Or in this case, maybe it's white and green socks with a skull and crossbones on the side!

I get so giddy with excitement when I see males get all fussy about their wedding day accessories. Socks are a great way to express one's personality without going overboard, since pictures do last a lifetime...

I've gotta be honest with you. When I see a line of groomsmen wearing matching converse and argyle/skull & crossbone socks, I don't think, "Wow, the groom really brought his style to the table here." I think, "Yikes. Why did those guys let the bride tell them what to wear?!"
