your 2 cents

Is anybody else reading this? I know it doesn't have much to do with weddings, but I was curious what other people's opinions are about this book. Feel free to share your 2 cents if you got it.

Okay, so I read this book (about half way through I started skimming instead of reading) and I was not overly impressed. A lot of what they have to say is hard to swallow and even more difficult to actually live by. I prefer books that are more helpful (laying out facts and solutions) rather than ranting. Some books I enjoy on this topic:

Gorgeously Green
Go Green, Live Rich
Green from the Ground Up

Happy reading!

I actually read this book about a year ago and it changed my life. I have since become pescatarian (only eat some seafood) and I have also made the move to go more "green" when shopping. Infact, I gave my mother and my sister the book, and they have been pescatarians ever since as well. The people who say it's too hard to live by are just lazy and making up excuses. Yes you have to change your lifestyle some, but no good ever comes without some change. I feel healthier than I ever have and I still eat delicious foods all the time. I will never look back!

Thanks for all your comments! I was curious because I have a love/hate relationship with this book. I thought the "tough love" writing style was a little over the top, and I don't think I could ever become vegan, but they do have a very convincing argument. I already try to eat healthy and I've really cut down on the amount of meat I eat, but it really opened my eyes up to how government certifications and recommendations are a bunch of crap.
