Dissolving Wedding Dress

When I got married, I was torn between a dress that I kind of loved, but looked awesome on me, and a dress that I absolutely adored but, I felt, looked only okay on me. Ultimately, I went with the dress that I fell in love with because I think I was just over-scrutinizing my own body. And over-scrutinizing one's body is never a good thing. Seriously. So my advice (even though you didn't ask for it, I'm totally going to give it to you), go for what you love. You will only wear a wedding dress once. Hopefully anyway, right? What matters most is that you're comfortable in what you're wearing and if that means going all Lady Gaga on yourself, then by all means, go for the futuristic dissolving wedding dress and the alien boots. Seriously.

(Below: Wedding Dress Dissolves in Water. This is a cool concept, but if someone
spills water on you, do you lose part of your dress?)

i could not agree more, go for what you love! it is your day and you should feel absolutely fabulous. of course when i consult brides and grooms about their wedding bands, it is sort of a different story, because you are going to wear your rings forever (or so the story goes). so between your rings and your dress you should be able to find the perfect balance between practicality and once in a lifetime decadence!

I agree with heather. Wedding dress must be amazing, and we must love that dress.
