Earth Friendly Favor Idea

I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about donations in lieu of favors. Some brides feel it's too presumptuous to donate in a guests name without knowing if said guest supports that particular charity. Personally, I believe it's your wedding, it's one day only, and if you would prefer to donate your $300 rather than spend it on lame personalized miniature spoons, you know I'll back you 100%. But if you're still in fear of being considered presumptuous, check out what this bride did: a charity board! I found this on theknot.com and thought it was the neatest idea! The bride and groom picked several different charities and listed them on the board. Then each guest could decide which charity they would like a donation made to in their name. Just make sure to recycle the name tags, leftover paper, and either recycle or reuse the board, and you've got a very earth friendly favor idea!

Great idea. It is like the wooden nickel donation holders at Wild Oats market when you bring in your own bag. You pick where $.05 goes.

I love this idea!

Thanks.

I've never heard of this Wild Oats place, but it sounds like a good idea! :)
