There isn't anything specific that makes these "earth friendly," but I thought they were cute to look at. And if you're the baking kind, you know how important a cake stand can be. A fresh, beautifully decorated cake or pie always looks more enticing atop a pretty stand rather than just plopped on a plate (which is what I currently have to do).
