I'm veering a little off the beaten path today. I thought I would share a few of my favorite thrift/antique store finds I've found over the past couple of years. Nothing too fancy, but I think it's neat to show how one man's junk really can be another man's treasure. The little picture frame to the left and the 60's or 70's-era esque (I'm not sure which) glasses case all hailed from a little antique shop in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The little teacups are from a store in Atlanta, which calls itself an antique shop, but it's really just one of those big warehouses with wall to wall stuff bought from estate auctions. It's fun to go through for a while, but can eventually get overwhelming...and a little smelly. And the white picture frame on the end is from another thrift store, although I can't remember which one. In it you'll see a little print I created, which says, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."
Oh..the cupcake? Okay, I painted that at one of those clay studios. (It's a pencil holder!) Maybe one day that will be my junk, but somebody else's treasure!
