A Few Earth Friendly Wedding Ideas

I was writing an e-mail today explaining that having a green wedding doesn't necessarily mean it has to be all or nothing. While some brides do a fantastic job of ensuring every aspect of their wedding is eco friendly, other brides are happy to find a middle ground. So here I've outlined a few simple, earth friendly, ideas other brides have incorporated into their own weddings. Enjoy!
  • Top Left: Jars filled with maple syrup tapped from maple trees by the bridal party's family
  • Top Right: This bride had her wedding underneath a covered wooden bridge, which provided guests with beautiful, natural surroundings and little need for additional decor.
  • Bottom Left: Simple, unique, and organic feeling centerpieces of plants and leaves. What I love about this is that it looks beautiful, but is practically what you might find in your own backyard.
  • Bottom Right: Kumquat's decorate the reception tables. Use an organic or locally grown fruit for decoration and encourage guests to take them home for a midnight snack.
UPDATE: All of the photos are from theknot.com. And CLICK HERE to see the rest of the photos from the wedding under the covered wooden bridge.

Excellent question! The location is in Bethel, Maine. I'll post a link to the rest of the photos from that wedding in the post.
