Natural Beauty...Real Weddings

If you don't mind having your wedding outside, I would highly suggest checking out your local area botanical garden. One of the great things about a botanical garden is that your floral decor is practically done for you. And you don't have to worry about importing, transporting, ordering, or inspecting your flowers for where they came from, how they were grown, if they are in season, etc... However, it's also important to remember that if your event is at any sort venue with a lot of greenery, you'll want to make sure your own decor doesn't clash. And Michelle Rago, found via Ivillage.com Real Weddings does an amazing job of doing just that! The wedding pictured above was held at the New York Botanical Garden, where Michelle found ways to integrate the natural beauty of the surroundings within the environment of the wedding itself. The unique bridesmaids' "purses" were created with leaves, grapevine was wrapped around the trellis for the ceremony, ferns and eucalyptus pods were used for the centerpieces, and leaf cones with hydrangea petals were used to separate the tiers of the cake!
