For the Earth Friendly Groom

Last week, Bunnybride mentioned in a comment that she was having a hard time finding a suitable vintage outfit for her groom. Emily from Eco-Chic Weddings was kind enough to respond about Boll Organics, a seller of high quality mens dress shirts made from organic cotton. In case any of you missed it, I thought I'd throw it out there in it's own post. Boll Organics was started by two brothers who realized a need, including their own, for superior organic cotton dress shirts. If you're groom isn't too keen on hopping the organic cotton train, I've highlighted a few reasons that just might get him interested.

First of all, farmers spray pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides on their cotton crops. These chemicals are most likely not on the cotton you actually wear, but they damage the earth by contaminating the groundwater and polluting the air and soil.

In California, five of the top nine pesticides used are cancer causing chemicals.

It is estimated that pesticides unintentionally kill 67 million birds each year.

If you'd like to learn more, I recommend visiting the Organic Consumers Association, which is where I got all the information you just read.

Thanks for posting this. I'll let my fiance know. At the very least it is something to keep in mind for his work attire.
