Bunny Tails

This was so cute, I just had to share. Last weekend, my husband was digging my Spring garden (we relocated a tree to where my old one was). I notice my terrier has her nose buried in the grass, which is not unusual, but when she looks up, bits of gray fur are stuck all around her snout. I start to freak out thinking she injured an animal, but I soon realize what she was so interested in - baby bunnies! Thankfully, they weren't harmed. This was what they looked like last week, all huddled in a hole under mama's fur:

I was kind of worried, so I checked on them yesterday afternoon and one popped it's head out!

I've been careful not to disturb the nest too much because I'm afraid Mama rabbit won't come back, but so far they seem healthy and energetic! I'm not sure what to do because I still want a garden, but I refuse to get rid of the bunnies. Any ideas on how to make that work?

Oh, and the funny thing is we found those baby bunnies on Easter! Of all days!

So cute! I don't really have any ideas, but maybe you could plant stuff around the bunny home?

Awww, how adorable!!! I'm a sucker like you for small furry friends. :) I have four pet little bunnies.

Sadly, I don't think there is much you can do at the moment. I do think they "grow up" rather quickly though, and will probably be out of the nest relatively soon. *fingers crossed*

I am not sure where you are located but there are groups that will come and relocate animals to different areas. You might be able to find something through Animal Control . . . those are super cute little bunnies though!!

We had baby bunnies in the lawn last year, and it wasn't long before they were out of the nest. If you can wait on the garden, it shouldn't be long.

I'm late on this, but these little guys are the cutest thing I've seen all day! I agree with Julie--baby bunnies grow up fast. They'll be out of the nest and into your garden veg before long!
